Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducted the Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination (CHSL) 2025 for recruitment to various Group C posts in Ministries, Departments and Offices of the Government of India.
The SSC CHSL 2025 recruitment includes posts such as Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), Postal Assistant (PA), Sorting Assistant (SA), Data Entry Operator (DEO) and Data Entry Operator Grade A.
The final vacancy for SSC CHSL 2025 is 3,522 posts. The vacancies are distributed among various Ministries, Departments and Offices and are subject to category-wise reservation and post-specific requirements.
Candidates generally require a 10+2 Intermediate qualification from a recognized Board or University. Certain Data Entry Operator posts may have additional educational requirements, including Science stream with Mathematics at the 12th Standard level.
The age limit for SSC CHSL 2025 is 18 to 27 years as on 01 January 2026. Candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen and other eligible categories are entitled to age relaxation according to Government rules.
The selection process consists of Tier-I and Tier-II examinations. Tier-I is a Computer Based Examination used for shortlisting candidates for Tier-II. Tier-II includes multiple sections, including a Computer Knowledge Test and Skill Test/Typing Test. The Computer Knowledge Test and Skill/Typing Test are qualifying in nature.
The SSC CHSL 2025 application process started on 23 June 2025 and the last date to apply was 18 July 2025. Tier-I was conducted from 12 November to 30 November 2025. The Tier-I result was declared on 27 February 2026.
Tier-II was conducted on 10 April 2026 and 22 April 2026. Candidates who appeared in Tier-II were required to submit their post and department preferences before the First Round of Tentative Allocation.
